Powerline Ethernet Bridge

Description

Bridging Ethernet and Powerline at Home and SOHO
Most wired networks installed at home and SOHO today use the Ethernet technology. The DHP-200 lets you install a new Powerline network without losing any connection to your existing Ethernet network. In addition, an increasing number of devices, from broadband modems to residential gateways and game consoles are equipped Ethernet interfaces. This makes use of a DHP-200 necessary when you share these devices with your HomePlug Powerline users.

No New Network Wiring Installation Needed
Powerline transmits data on the electrical wiring. It does not require any new wires and it is both robust and affordable. It solves key issues that have plugged home networking in the past. Powerline supporting standard outlet makes it more convenient to move the PCs, switches, routers, and printer servers. Because power outlets are located on nearly every wall of a house, with DHP-200, you can very easily connect the network or share dial-up, DSL and cable  Internet access.

Convience and Cost Reduction
The DHP-200 makes it possible for Ethernet to co-exist with phoneline and RF networks. It can eliminate some of the problems with networking, allowing access points to be moved to more convenient locations in the home, reducing the need for multiple wireless access points.

Network Security
The DHP-200 provides 56-bit DES security technology to ensure network separation between homes. It uses encryption to block outside access. The technology is an industry standard that provides a level of security that is adequate for home networking.

Decent Bandwidth for Home and SOHO
The DHP-200 supports maximum 85Mbps bandwidth over home AC wiring. It offers you a high-speed networking for information sharing, multimedia application and gaming.
