Tanımlama: The DGS-3710-12C is a line of high-performance multi-function switches, level 2+. The switch features 12 combo 1000Base-T/SFP Gigabit Ethernet. Gigabit ports of the device can be used to connect the access layer switches or servers. The presence of SFP ports allows you to use the switch in the network MAN (Metropolitan Area Networks) using fiber-optic communication lines. Use in ISP networks The DGS-3710-12C has a compact 1U size for rack mount, with support for working temperatures of up to 65C. Moreover, for ease of installation, retrieval, and Troubleshooting and maintenance, all the necessary connection ports located on the front panel of the device. The modular cooling system and dust filter allows replacement of a damaged fan or to clean the device from dust without removing the switch from the rack or telecommunications closet. High resiliency The DGS-3710-12C is the ideal solution for users who require a high level of network security and maximum uptime. The switch supports load sharing between two power supplies (AC/ DC) to provide redundancy and maintain continuous availability in case of failure of one of the power supplies. The switches also support 802.1 D Spanning Tree (STP), 802.1 w Rapid Spanning Tree (RSTP) and 802.1 s Multiple Spanning Tree (MSTP), Loopback Detection (LBD), and protection from broadcast storms, which increase network resiliency. Thanks to the G. 8032 Ethernet Ring Protection Switching (ERPS) recovery time after a failure is about 50 MS. For load balancing and fault tolerance when using multiple switches, the DGS-3710-12C supports 802.3 ad dynamic Link Aggregation Port Trunking. Advanced security features The DGS-3710-12C supports the latest security features such as multilevel access control lists (ACL), storm control, and IP-MAC-Port Binding with DHCP Snooping. The IP-MAC-Port Binding feature allows administrators to bind IP address and MAC address of the user to a specific port number on the switch, thereby preventing the user to change network settings. Moreover, with DHCP Snooping, the switch automatically learns IP/MAC pairs of addresses issued by the server, tracking DHCP packets and saving them to "white list" IMPB. These features play an important role in supporting network security. Built-in function D-Link Safeguard Engine provides identification and prioritization of packets intended to be processed directly by the CPU of the switch, to prevent malicious attacks, and to mitigate the impact of unwanted traffic on the CPU of the switch. In addition, DGS-3710-12C supports access control lists (ACL). This functionality gives administrators the ability to restrict access to network services and has no impact on switch performance. Policy Identity Driven Network The DGS-3710-12C supports the following authentication mechanisms like 802.1 X access Control Web-based interface (WAC), access Control based on MAC-addresses (MAC), or a combination of the above, which greatly extends the capabilities of access control. After authentication, individual policies, such as VLAN membership, QoS policies, and ACL rules can be assigned to each host. In addition, the switch supports Microsoft® NAP. With these advanced features authentication and authorization switch reduces the risk of viruses and hacker attacks. Traffic management for Triple Play services This switch provides a tiered set of QoS/CoS, ensure that delay sensitive network services, such as VoIP, video conference, IPTV and IP surveillance are served with proper priority. "Three color marker" and Traffic Shaping guarantee bandwidth for data services in case of high network load. Thanks to the support of multicast level 2/3, the switch provides the ability to work with IPTV services, benefiting from growing demand in the market. IGMP/MLD Snooping host-based enables connection of several clients of the multicast group to a single network interface. When using ISM VLAN, multicast traffic for the effective expenditure of bandwidth is transmitted in a separate plane. The ISM VLAN profiles allow users to quickly and easily bind/replace the pre-defined subscriber ports multicast. Connectivity Fault Management (CFM) provides the functions of surveillance, search and Troubleshooting in Ethernet networks, allowing you to control the connection to isolate the problem areas of the network and to identify clients who have been restrictions in the network. IPv6 Technology The DGS-3710-12C is fully compatible with next generation networks based on IPv6 and supports remote management via IPv6 telnet, HTTP or SNMP.
