Series L3 Switch D-Link DXS-3600 includes a new compact high-performance switches, asking for switching and routing of traffic at speeds up to 10 Gb / s. 1U in height and the ability to select the direction of ventilation (from the back to the front or vice versa) make a series of DXS-3600 is very convenient for use at the level of aggregation in the campus and in the workplace. The switch DXS-3600-16S is equipped with 8 fixed ports 10GbE SFP + and can use more ports adding expansion module that provides additional ports 10G SFP +.
Functional Use 
DXS-3600 switches deliver high-performance 10-Gigabit data transmission switch fabric up to 960 Gbit / s and a maximum speed of packet forwarding 714 million packets per second. Switches are equipped with power sources and the ability to "hot" replacement and fan that provides a high level of reliability and fault tolerance. The modular power design allows you to select the network with AC or DC depending on the installation location. When two power supplies, they share the load, and also carry out backup power supply for 1 +1. DXS-3600 series also includes a modular scheme of fans. Three fans may overlap, providing a redundant cooling system 2 +1. If one fan fails or the temperature increases, the speed of the remaining fans is automatically increased. 
Comprehensive software
Series Switch DXS-3600 supports an extended copy (EI). Advanced copy of the software (EI) supports routing IPv4/v6, including RIP, VRRP, OSPF, BGP, and also features a multicast Layer 3, such as IGMP, MLD, PIM-DM, SM, SDM, SSM, and DVMRP. Advanced copy of the software (EI) supports L2/L3 MPLS VPN, which allows you to set a series of switches DXS-3600 as the main router network, or the network edge router MPLS.
The functions of the data center 
Data Center Bridging (DCB) is the mandatory installation of extensions to Ethernet networking in the data center. DXS-3600 switches support several major components of DCB, such as IEEE 802.1Qbb, IEEE 802.1Qaz and IEEE 802.1Qau. IEEE 802.1Qbb (flow control on the basis of priorities) provides flow control for the leveling of data loss due to network congestion. IEEE 802.1Qaz (enhanced transmission selection) controls the allocation of bandwidth among different traffic classes. IEEE 802.1Qau (Congestion Notification) provides congestion control for data flows within the network domain in order to prevent overloading.DXS-3600 switches also support unbuffered packet switching, which reduces latency for data transmission in the network.
Saving energy
Ability to select the direction of ventilation from the rear to the front, or vice versa for maximum air conditioning for more efficient cooling of all the systems that are mounted in a rack in data centers using switches. The switches also come with built-in smart fans, internal temperature sensors that control temperature changes and react accordingly to the use of different fan speeds for different temperatures. At low temperatures, the fan speed is reduced, which reduces the energy consumption and reduces noise.
